"Hotel was in a great location, being close to the town centre and the sea front and the seaview was very nice. Breakfast was good and the staff were good throughout. The room had a huge en-suite bathroom which was finished to a very high standard and was very nice. The bedroom was ok but not to the same high standard as the bathroom and view of the sea was somewhat spoilt by the view of a poor condition balcony. "Different kind of stay- think upmarket Airbnb but as a hotel. No staff on site- (although there was when we checked in as the house keeper and the owner appeared to be doing some maintenance). So all done by email- you get a code to access the doors. Our room was ready at 1pm- so it's an early check in which is good. Room was tidy and clean. "The bed was super comfy and a king size. Towels were fluffy and big. Room was hot but it was the time of the heatwave and a fan was already in the room so all good. The breakfast was delicious and loads of it. The staff were also great, particularly Jimmy who showed us to our room, he served us a pint and said that if it was not up to standard, to let him know and he’d change it! All great customer service, all round from everyone at the Nags Head - well done all!"

"The attic rooms, which are expensive, are not fit for purpose in hot weather. No air-con, of course, but you can barely open the windows.
