My wife and I decided to take a break for couple of days in Whitby. Based on previous reviews we opted to stay at Rosslyn House and we were not disappointed. Lovely room and great location. Breakfast was beautiful to suit all diets. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing stay! Martin and Vanessa could not have done any more eto make this perfect! Smashing breakfast, lovely attention to detail, fab comms to discuss arrival arrangements. Room was top notch, 2 slices of fresh carrot cake in the room, milk and water in the fridge. Good chatting with you both after breakfasts, if we were more local we would definitely need you in our social circles. Lisa and Mike x

Characterful property, lovely breakfast, helpful & friendly hosts. On street parking with residents pass is available but there are several nearby guest houses so would recommend arriving at the property promptly if a very nearby space is required. Several nearby resterants and cafes. View of Whitby abbey from the front door. Convenient for all the sights.

The hotel was spotless, you can see the hosts work very hard to maintain the high standards presented in the property. Lot’s of little extras included in the price. The breakfasts were excellent, using the finest quality ingredients. Would highly recommend!!

We stayed at the Roslyn for 3 nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. The personal little touches such as home made cake, daily bottle of fresh milk and water in the fridge all added to the enjoyment. The friendly hosts presented us with a parking permit on arrival to cover the duration of our stay. Location was great only 5 minutes walk into the centre of town. The home cooked breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day.I would highly recommend staying at the Roslyn.

Fresh bottle of milk and water in the mini-fridge, much better for the coffees, also a very handy bottletop remover/corkscrew ! Steep stairs to our room - room 2 - would go for lower rooms next time. Nice to have jars of decaf and ordinary instant coffee - the hosts have put a lot of thought into the details. When we found the room hot, we were given a fan. On balance, excellent
