The Cinder Track and Cleveland Way are just two of the wonderful walks in the area, and the National Cycle Network passes nearby. There are many hidden bays and coves dotted along the magnificent coastline, such as Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes, both with links back to old pirate times and where you will also find plenty of links to Captain James Cook. There are waterfalls, abbeys and many other places to visit, including Eden Camp Museum and Flamingo Land Resort. The medieval walled city of York and the traditional seaside resort of Scarborough are within easy reach.
