"Property has an excellent location directly on the ocean with panoramic views. It also has a spectacular pool area with fire pits and great outside seating area. They provide convenient parking and shuttle transportation to downtown Newport. Lastly, the staff throughout the property was friendly, competent and accommodating. I would recommend this property highly."

"Very clean, rooms I. Excellent condition, wonderful staff. We love the Viking and consider other places to stay but for 15 years of visiting there, we consistently have stayed exclusively at Hotel Viking. With that said, the new parking rates and resort fees have increased dramatically and it almost prevented us from staying there this time. It’s an extra $100 a night to stay there because of these fees and that makes us hesitant to stay there again, especially since it’s not on the water. Also...

"It was a good stay. The courtyard was great for my grandson who played basketball! The outside light, outside the sliding door, was on all night which made it hard for me to sleep since the light shown inside my room! Also, the pillows were so small, fit for a small child maybe."
