"We stayed in one of their 2 Viken lodges. It was huge and easily big enough to accommodate all of us with loads of space for kids to run about and explore. Floor to ceiling Windows and and a gabled roof gave stunning views down the valley to the estuary from both floors. The accommodation was modern and stylish and even had its own sauna. The onsite pool was free to use and warm and clean, a good size. Slight hiccup at check in was sorted out well and we were allowed to stay an extra night in...

"What a find! This beautiful hall is just perfect. Fabulous location with peacocks and lovely trails to walk in the extensive grounds. Our room had a super king bed and usual facilities. There is a spacious dining room and well stocked bar. You won't go away hungry as the food is excellent with generous portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a must visit! "

"The Castle Inn is situated approximately 4 miles outside of Keswick, it is surrounded by mountain views, fields and idealic views. The Bassenthwaite Lake is a 40 minute walk away, a Wildlife park is a 20 minute walk away and Dodd Wood Forestry/Osprey View Point is a bus journey away. The hotel staff made us feel very welcome, we're polite and answered any questions we had. Breakfast has a nice variety of food, the Tavern food was expensive but worth the big portion sizes, the leisure club area...
