"We received a phone call from The Grange several hours before check-in, telling us that we could check in early if we wished as the weather was poor. This was just the start of the care and attention we found during our stay. The room was beautiful and very well appointed, the rest of the hotel (guest house seems too reductive) equally beautiful. A quiet, relaxing, place with fabulously attentive staff who were just so willing to help. The styling and attention to detail were second to none. The breakfasts were wonderful, too. Cereals, fruit, yoghurt, and a range of cooked breakfasts that we very much enjoyed and which really set us up for the day. This was our second stay at The Grange and we can't wait to return!"

"The room was clean beside a blood stain on one of the duvets. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue as the road was being resurfaced, but the staff did tell us where the best place to park was. The breakfast was excellent, it really set us up for a day in the hills. Overall a good value room for visiting the Lakes."

"This is our 3rd visit to Shelly cottage. It is comfortable, romantic and well located for Keswick town centre and very quiet. On other occasions we have been a bit disappointed with the cleaning under the bed in the double bedroom and rotting food stuff in the kitchen cupboards but on this occasion all was acceptable. I have emailed Keswick Cottages about small problems before but have never received replies. The cottage is priced for 4 people but as a couple it works out expensive but that is our problem. Parking is adequate but a bit tight if you have a bigger vehicle. It is now advertised as having an EV charger but when we stayed a random vehicle occupied the charger all night so was not available to the cottage residents. All in all a pleasant cottage which we would like to return to again."

"First impressions were WOW and they didn’t change throughout our stay. The kitchen/dining room is stunning and very modern. The living room is lovely and cosy (but not small). The bedrooms were perfectly sized with plenty of storage. The main bathroom is big and modern and the en suite is small but a great addition. Roger’s communication was perfect and very helpful. The garden is also stunning and would be amazing in Summer. It isn’t enclosed for those bringing dogs but this is information detailing this."

"Lovely big house. Nice decor etc We had four older ladies with us, so we felt a tad far away from the town centre; relying on taxis to ferry them about.We had a good walk on Saturday and enjoyed a delicious meal at The Pheasant.Just one or two niggles really......my mum had the super-large room. Beautiful fabric for the soft furnishings, but two of the Roman blinds. For eight people, there were four toilet rolls and no logs were supplied for the fire. There was central heating but we felt chilly in the evenings. Again, it's lovely house. But comparing it with our own properties, just a few tweaks could have enhanced our stay."
