We had a great time in Wells. The house has everything you could ask for and the town has plenty of places to eat (except on Sundays!) If you have teenagers check out The Venue for pool, darts and table tennis for post dinner entertainment.

Three close friends stayed in 2 Bishop Mews while being in a choir "in residence" at Wells Cathedral for a week in July 2024. The place was perfect - great location in central Wells, walkable to everywhere we needed to be. Clean and spacious, with the everything we needed. There is a washer for clothes but not a dryer. You will love this place!

We had a really great stay in Wells. The property is in a brilliant location, right in the centre of Wells, yet still very quiet. The property itself is very comfortable and well equipped. Couldn't ask for more. The parking is tight, but if you can reverse, you'll be fine! Highly recommended.

This is one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. It is very spacious and has everything you need. The beds and bedding are wonderful. It is in the middle of a busy city but very quiet. Wells is a lovely place and lots to see.
We had a really lovely holiday, thank you.

Perfect property in perfect location, walking distance to everywhere.
The house was so comfortable and welcoming, we actually opted to eat in twice as we wanted to take advantage of the place.
Everything you could need, so clean and the beds so comfortable.
Can't recommend this highly enough

As two retired married couples we found the property ideal for our four night stay in Wells after a day visiting National Trust properties we could park up the car and walk into town for an evening meal. The property was clean and well equipped we only had breakfast in the house. We had been told the parking could be difficult for a large car but we had no trouble parking our Hyundai ix20 in the allocated parking space.

The house was clean and comfortable and the description and photos on the listing were accurate and helpful. We particularly appreciated the location in a quiet road in the center only a few minutes walk from anywhere. As mentioned in the listing, parking needed a little perseverance (we have a Vauxall Astra), but having a dedicated private space in Wells city center is rare and the central location more than compensated.

We loved the little house and found it very convenient BUT the parking is really a problem. The architect appears to have imagined that people only have toy cars and parking even an average sizes car is very difficult.

We spent a few nights here over half term, and were really impressed with the location, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Whilst not an enormous property, it had absolutely everything we needed and was extremely comfortably appointed. Others have mentioned the small parking space, which did take a little manoeuvring to get into with our estate car, but still doable. Would like to thank the hosts and apologise for not writing in their guest book, in the melee of packing up for departure it got forgotten, but for the record, thank you, we had a lovely time and will certainly be in touch if we need to stay in the area in future.

This is a delightful mews house, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and well-equipped. The parking space is tight but I managed to park my Ford Focus Estate. The house is in an excellent location for walking into Wells centre and only two minutes for the bus station which we used for a trip to Clarks Village at Street. We were warm and cosy and had everything we needed for our three day visit. Thank you very much Lesley.

Modern, well decorated townhouse. Quiet with private parking. Well furnished, good selection of TV stations. Excellent Wi-Fi. Bathroom on both floors, upstairs bathroom was odd with a severely slanted ceiling that hit me in the shoulder and my wife in the head when we tried to use it. Good washer and full sized fridge/freezer. Downstairs shower was fine with good hot water and decent water pressure. Living room furniture was decent, couch cushions tended to slide forward. Great location right downtown. Despite the few drawbacks, we would definitely stay there again.

Perfectly situated in the centre of Wells with a parking place. Easy walking distance for all the the City has to offer. The accomodate is beatifully furnished, clean and comfortable. We felt at home within a few minutes of arriving. The location is also good for visiting the surrounding area. We slept well as this is also a quiet part of the city. Highly recommended and good value.
There is information provided to enrich your visit to Wells. A good choice of restaurants are within walking distance. We eat at Antons, Ask and an Italian in Sadler St beguining with an R. Good food and wine at each one. Also a good lunch at the Bishops Table when visiting the Palace. Recommend taking the historic walking tour of Wells.
We also visited Stonehenge, Montaqute and Lacock Abbey.

This is the second time we have stayed here, the first being in 2014 when under different ownership. However, the change in ownership has not diminished the quality of accommodation, which is first rate.
The only improvement we could suggest is to include a king size bed in the double bedroom - we are used to a larger bed and a conventional double doesn't provide the space and comfort we have become used to. However, the two single beds are of a good standard, so that is very pleasing.
The kitchen is very well equipped, and the only suggestion we can make is that the instructions for the induction hob might include instructions on how to 'unlock' the hob - this is not mentioned in the leaflet provided.
Overall, a first class property in a great location.

We had a wonderful stay in Wells. Our holiday included time in the northern region of rural England (a cottage within the Yorkshire Dales) and so the 4 days staying in the apartment in Wells provided us a totally different and delightful experience. We had rented a car which enabled us to easily travel to Wells, but once we arrived, this apartment's location enabled us to walk EVERYWHERE in the area. Grocery stores were a 5 min walk. Owner had manuals for all of the new appliances so we were able to easily use the microwave, oven, and dishwasher. Beds were quite comfortable. The 2nd floor 'shower room' wasn't ideal as the men in the group were too tall to use the facility comfortably, but having 2 bathrooms was still quite helpful and we were glad to have it. The owner responded to questions within 30 min. So much history to see, and we followed Rick Steve's travel guide to find a wonderful hike overlooking the city. We also drove to Bath for a day. And Cheddar Gorge is beautiful. All in all, a GREAT STAY!
