"The drive up the mountain to Volterra was stunning. Then we arrived and parked in a nearby car park long enough to move our luggage to the hotel. The staff was very helpful showing us where to move the car to park for free. The entrance to the hotel is right in the middle of the historic town. So many shops and restaurants to explore. The room was large and beautifully laid out, with roses and sweets on the bed. There are alabaster craft shops around, we stepped down a small alley and...

"The hotel itself was fine. The night manager - Marco - was wonderful. He is interested in Etruscan culture and directed me to some very interesting sites. My only complaint - the rooms face a square where motorcyclists park. It was noisy until late at night, and closing the window was not a great option - no AC!"
