"Stayed here 3. Nights prior to a cruise and enjoyed the rooftop, including live music, the lobby bar, the thermal pool in the lower level and even had one of the best deep tissue massages I’ve ever had. Due to congestion and construction on La Rambla we did have challenges with a couple taxis. But this location was easily walkable down to Barceloneta beach and to the Flamenco show we had booked. Had dinner at a restaurant around the corner and it was superb. Staff were friendly and helpful with all our questions. Highly recommend Hotel 1898!"

"It is not near to the historical center but it is next to a train station, very convenient. Staff super friendly, clean and comfortable beds. "

"We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was exactly as described. The pool area was nicer than expected. Some people think the area is too small, but there are sunbeds below the pool, with lovely views out to see. There is also a couple of bars on the roof. It is also worth visiting the lobby bar on the first floor of the hotel. It was peaceful and cool (temperature). The hotel is in a great location for exploring Barcelona, but it was also very peaceful. My only issue was, it was very hot and the air conditioning wasn't as affective as required. I would however stay again. Really enjoyed it. "

"The surprise rooftop lounge and pool is the best part of this property. When you are tired of walk and back to the hotel you get a lounge to relax and enjoy a good food and vine for a reasonable price. Very good breakfast. Strongly recommended. "

"Amazing hotel! Beautiful views and amenities. I love that is located off the caos rambla area and a much safer neighborhood with a lot of transportation options. The hotel is amazing and it has their own parking on the property basement. "
