"I checked this morning, and the property is still shown as being in Vaison La Romaine, still claims to be a short walk from the sights of Vaison, and the map show this to be the case. However, this is a total LIE. The house is in Saint Maurice sur Eygues, which is more than 15mins from Vaision by Car. The owner was quick to offer us 100 euros (so he obviously knew) but this didn't cover the cost of us staying in Vaison for two nights to spend time with the friends we were supposed to meet there....

"The property was clean and tidy, with a lovely outdoor terrace. The pool was a welcome relief from the scorching temperatures, and after a hot day sightseeing it was lovely to take a refreshing dip. The gite is located an easy 10 minute amble into Vaison - a bustling market town with all the facilities one could need. "A group of 6 shared the villa for 6 weeks as a base for the Rugby World Cup games in southern France. The villa fulfilled all our needs. Clean, tidy, spacious with all the amenities you need. Rooms were great, outside spaces and pool were superb. I agree with all other excellent reviews. Boulangerie down the road and the town is excellent. "Just returned from a lovely stay in Mouries, Provence. Rudy the owner was extremely helpful on arrival recommending some super places for us to visit. The air-conditioning was extremely welcome in the current heatwave we've been experiencing. A great boulangerie/patisserie 2 minutes on foot down the road (one of several in the town!) . Great base for our trips out to visit the region. The garden was particularly lovely to sit out in - beautifully maintained."

"It's not in Sainted Marie la mer which is not clear when booking it's 8km outside. It's in Pioch Badet. There is a window box full of bird crap and the whole place smelt musty, the bathroom needed cleaned thoroughly and there wasn't loo roll or proper bedding only paper sheets. There are no towels which wasn't mentioned either so visitors from UK probably should be made aware. The house is nice enough just a bit tired - maybe it hadn't been rented in a whike. "A family from Denmark - 4 persons - have had a fantastic week in Saint Marcel - a nice village with nice people and butcher, baker, restaurants and bars. Sorroundings in Provence was beautiful. In a radius of 50 km you have everything. We will be back."
