"Oh, Geez. It's California. You walk into the room and the floor is red tile. The far wall is glass panes with thin metal framing right out of some kind of period correct thirties dream, because they are really that. You should stay there and write your own west coast Noir."

"Checking in was difficult. You can't enter the property from the street but you have to be able to identify the property from the alley which didn't show a house number. There was no mention of having to climb a flight of stairs to get to the door and bringing my heavy luggage upstairs was hard. Then, we believed that all six of us would be in the same rental. There were actually two separate rentals with separate codes. We had to phone and get the correct code for our side and we learned that when we touched the keyless entry to get it to light up, it assumed that the "touch" was entering a number and we couldn't get the door to open and needed help from a live body. It was problematic for us, though our fault. The windows wouldn't stay open all the way and it was hot! The location was perfect and we did appreciate having parking. Thanks for having ice cubes ready!"

"The unit was very clean. The instructions for checking in were easy. It was a little hot when we got there. No A/C but we just opened windows and turned on the ceiling fans. The bathtub drain was clogged but I texted the property manager and they fixed it within a few hours. The location was amazing. Quick walk to the beach and to Main St Ventura."
