"Absolutely beautiful hotel. What I love the most is the private onsen in the room. It's in a semi-open space (not in the room, but under a roof kind of in the back balcony). The private onsen refills itself, and temperature regulated. It was amazing. Beautiful scenery, excellent staff, exceptional breakfast."

"We booked the premier garden suite and LOVED it. My partner is Japanese and said it reminded him of his grandmothers house growing up. The room is just a simple/beautiful traditional Japanese style room. Although the garden area could use some sprucing up, it was very nice/relaxing. "Lovely hotel in the heart of Arashiyama with spectacular views and peaceful surroundings. Its a few minutes walk away from the local lines and around 10 minutes from the JR line, both which take about 20 minutes to get to Kyoto. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a break away from the busy atmosphere in the main cities"
