"There was black mould in bedroom 3 and in the bathroom. This meant we had to move the bed as black mould is dangerous. The fridge was off when we arrived and took a long time to chill. There were no teaspoons. No hand towels anywhere and the bed springs had gone in 2 beds. The sheets were so old they were rough and bobbly. "This was probably the most ideal self catering property my daughter and I have stayed in since we started annual visits to Dartmouth in 1998. We loved the location, peaceful yet just a short drive to the town. The accommodation was spotless, spacious and provided everything we needed. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and the free range eggs, milk and scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam were an unexpected treat. A delightful stay in every way."

Situated down a narrow access road, which proved difficult at times but within easy driving distance to Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth. "We were really surprised at how lovely the barn conversion was. Although it is a little off the beaten track it is ideal for exploring the area so close to all the busy commute roads, It is so quiet in the countryside you can really chill. "The house has been decorated to a very high standard, but the reason for my booking was the use of the pool. The property is sold as a pool holiday (rare in the UK), but the pool was not usable in a safe manner, with loose tiling and sharp edges. You advised me that there were 'a few loose tiles', but only after payment had been made.
