When checking in, reception staff were surly and didn’t even say anything about welcome to the hotel etc… Breakfast staff were also not very communicative. We had just spent a few days in Lisbon where staff were so friendly and helpful in contrast to Pestana Vintage were staff were not very friendly or helpful. "The check in was a bit confusing. There were no staff at the pool or service at all at the pool. It was a trek to the bar and tiu had to carry your drinks on a tray down stairs and in the lift !! Mojito was not right, not enough sugar or lime. Pillows in the bedroom were too big and we couldn't get the tv to work. There seemed to be an absence of staff. Not great coffee at breakfast, it tasted like nescafe. "
