"Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. A well equipped house and the fresh water pool was a delight. The views are lovely. Arie was a great host (don't forget to ask for directions). A great getaway location with easy access (30 mins by car) to Beaches, Porto, Amarante, River Duoro etc. There is much to do in the area: sight seeing, walking, riding bikes, train ride, swimming in the sea and rivers. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We'd love to come back!"

"Fatima welcomed and attended to us as if we were family. Deonilde delivered fresh bread in the morning and did our laundry. The view was spectacular, especially poolside. Well equipped kitchen, two modern bathrooms and yes, the Wifi works! Other than the first night dinner out, we enjoyed eating on the lovely terrace."

"We spent a lovely week at Casa do Vimieiro. We were 2 couples, and the house was spacious comfortable, and clean. Susana responded to queries very promptly. The countryside is beautiful. My only caution is that driving in the area is not for the faint of heart. Also, people with mobility issues should avoid the house as there are many stairs and uneven steps going into the property. "The house is very comfortable and well equipped. We were 8 adults two children and one small dog in total. While on the ground floor the common area suited the group well, everyone couple/family had its own room and space upstairs.
