"We loved the wonderful staff, extremely comfortable bed, spacious & efficient room layout and amenities. The only downside was no restaurant or fresh food available onsite. On days when many of the local restaurants were closed, it was difficult to get sufficient meals. "

"Amazing Ryokan. Great location. Bridge and shrines are walkable, but there are some hills to reach the shrines. Easy access to bus stop to take you to the falls. The public bath was nice and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. The food was delicious from breakfast to the dinner. We were happy with the variety and everything was VERY fresh and featured local foods such as the Tochigi beef. The only suggestion is more explanation of what we were eating. It was a very memorable experience and we would highly recommend. "

"We love the surrounding area of the hotel. Peaceful and so close to the famous Shinkyo Bridge and Toshugo Shrine. The walking track to the Kanmangafuchi Abyss was excellent. If you love nature, this is the place to go. We were lucky to experience the Spring Festival and enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of the small-town people. The hotel itself has lots of history. The room is really spacious and modern with a view to the mountains and bushes. The staff were very accommodating despite their minimal English. My Japanese Breakfast was excellent. Definitely we will stay here again when we come to Nikko. "
