"This is an additional review to the first. To those of you thinking that it’s a good location, forget it. Yes, it’s scenic forest with a lot of vegetation. But it’s too secluded. Theres absolutely nothing you can walk to. You have to taxi everywhere. To give you a picture, it’s like 10-13 mile to the Tobu line and a little more to the JR Station. Just a simple taxi from the station to the hotel is like $60 average for a half hour drive. The hotel offers no Shuttle services. So, plan to add a...

"Historic hotel in good location"

"Small, no frills hotel that appeared understaffed to handle those of us arriving for 3pm checkin.. Conveniently located about 1.5 blocks from Tobu Station and 5 min from JR Nikko station. I thought there was an onsite onsen but when I inquired was told that their affiliated hotel with a similar name had the onsen we could use for a fee and showing our room key. I was relieved to find that they had two working elevators when I had read they had none! Modest but adequate breakfast with efficient,...

"Fantastic hotel with fantastic service! Our room with the semi-open air barh was wonderful, and the private onsen was lovely. The food was spectacular! We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back!"

"The location was ideal with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was so very helpful and considerate and the food was amazing! It was very convenient to the Kogen falls and other shops in town. Thank you for a wonderful visit while in Nikko."

"Lovely accommodation with lots a space. 15 min walk to bus and station"
