The property is on the main road in town so the view is just OK but the location is unbeatable and it was very quiet at night. Only complaint was the lights... numerous switches and its not clear what controls what. And the fireplace ran out of fuel but we didnt contact anyone as we were only there for 2 nights. Wish we couldve stayed longer!"

"Very clean, modern and well maintained hostel. Heavy doors to help minimise noise. Room was spacious and comfortable. Shared bathrooms were clean and pretty much available whenever you needed to use them. The shared kitchen was very well equipped, however, it was super busy during peak meal times. There is no elevator, so you need to carry luggage upstairs if your room is on the second floor. There is a bar downstairs and reception was friendly and helpful. "The location is very nice, nestled at the base of Peter's Island which offers a beautiful view and between two excellent sightseeing spots. Dyrholey is about 10 minutes to the east, and the the Skogafoss waterfall is about 10 minutes to the west. Nero (dog) was a sweet and friendly welcoming committee, The place is pretty pricey for the condition of the property, and breakfast wasn't included in our plan. "My stay at Skoga hotels by EJ was wonderful. The room. Was super clean. It was peaceful, and had everything we needed for a short stay. The breakfast was pretty good. Bacon, eggs, bread you can toast, fruit, yogurt, fruit juices, herring and marinated herring. Staff was exceptionally friendly, clean restrooms in the lobby. "It was self check in hotel with very clean instructions. The room had everything we needed and it was very comfortable and clean. The sister hotel has restaurant with amazing view of the nearby waterfall and delicious food. The hotel was at great location. The only downside was that the sauna wasn’t working , but regardless of that I would stay there again."

"The property owner never sent me an instruction email. When I connected them to get a code and key, they provided no information other than a code. The code didn’t work, the main building look abandoned. It was terrible and felt like a scam. I’m hoping Expedia can help me get a refund because the property owner appears to be irresponsible and unaccountable. Do NOT book here. Expedia should not list them!"
