"The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area."

"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. The water pressure and heat when trying to shower were never consistent (but usually okay). While not a comment about this hotel, know that this area doesn't have much for stuff to do. "Me and the wife are both disabled and because we notified the hotel at the time we booked our room we were given a room specifically designed to cater for people with disabilities.Compered to a lot of hotels that do not adapt any rooms or entrances or exits to cater for the disabled due to costs we found this such a bonus."

"Owl Barn was just beautiful - we loved the fact that the sheep wandered past the garden fence and the horses came close to be petted ! The view from the window was amazing and the Barn had everything we could possibly need - we would definitely recommend it and would be very happy to go back again "
