The food is simply amazing.
We will definitely be back."
"Stunning grounds and setting, excellent food and presentation, simply the best service from staff who went above and beyond. Only downside was I couldn't pay by Amex, the first hotel I've stayed in that doesn't accept it."
"A really nice hotel with beautifully presented room including 4 poster bed frame and period decoration. Staff were friendly and very helpful and dinner and breakfast were pleasant. Thank you for a lovely stay."
"A beautiful hotel in a lovely setting with the sound of the river when you sat on the terrace. The staff were exceptional and always ready to help with any request. The room was very comfortable, lovely big bed and superb bathroom."
"Great place to stay if you’re needing good proximity to Plymouth and surrounding areas but want the peace and quiet that Dartmoor brings.
Staff accommodated our late check-in due to road traffic accident which we were very grateful for.
Included breakfast is delicious and chef is super friendly.
Rooms are great - comfy beds and powerful shower.
Only downside is that if other rooms have their tv’s on loudly, you can hear it straight through the walls which happened on a couple nights of our...
"Me and the wife are both disabled and because we notified the hotel at the time we booked our room we were given a room specifically designed to cater for people with disabilities.Compered to a lot of hotels that do not adapt any rooms or entrances or exits to cater for the disabled due to costs we found this such a bonus."

"I cannot speak highly enough of the property, the hosts and the location, we simply had a fantastic experience. The property was really well appointed, in great condition and super clean. The location is stunning with fantastic views out across Dartmoor and direct access within minutes to some of the best walking in North Dartmoor. Lastly you will find it difficult to receive a warmer welcome and more accommodating hosts anywhere, thank you so much, we will be back ! "

"First of all, Phil is an amazing host. Since we made the booking he'a been available to answer all our questions. He's friendly, great character, got humour. Regarding the location. Amazing place. Peace and quiet. If you don't mind having no phone signal or Wifi, this is for you. I totally recommend the 'safari' trip from your car to the caravan. You won't forget that experience. At night you can hear the river flowing. Night birds. No car sounds or traffic. There's a splendid waterfall right next to the caravan. The caravan got all you need, you won't lack anything. I totally recommend Phil's place. Thank you, Phil, for your hospitality."
