"The property is large, characterful and has everything you need for a relaxed break. Plenty of space. The garden is gorgeous, so we were pleased to be able to make use of it in the sunshine. Having its own games room with actual space enough to play pool and table tennis was excellent. I would highly recommend it. The on site guest book has hundreds of positive comments, and there seems to be a lot of repeat customers, which speaks volumes. It’s an old house, so expect character and the odd thing that some might say needs updating, but we thought it was perfect the way it was!"

Comfy 2 bed house at Wareham train station; the ‘Gateway to the Purbecks’

"Great mid terrace mews property right by Wareham station. Parking bay for single vehicle but other on-street parking very close by. All rooms were clean and tidy. Enough space for everything. Pet friendly but no garden to let the dog out into. There was enough green space nearby though. Train tracks being close by were noisy to begin with but you soon got used to it. Good location, 10 minute walk up into the town and a good base to work from for local things to do, Blue Pool, Corfe Castle, Swanage etc. Friendly owner who responded quickly to questions. Great place to stay to explore Dorset."

THE BOATHOUSE. The gateway to the Jurassic Coast

"The Boathouse was fabulous very clean, comfortable and well equipped for our 3 night stay. My 2 grandsons enjoyed the big garden with the trampoline, swings and football nets but were disappointed that the advertised games room was not available nor the ‘hot tub’, which was prominently displayed in the description. Although the Boathouse was self contained you did need to walk through the hosts outside space to get to the accommodation, this was not an issue but would have preferred it separated. The host was responsive to a battery alarm that started late evening unfortunately could not be fixed until the following day.That said the location is fantastic just a 3 minute stroll down the short hill to the beach which is used by the local paddle board/ kayak club. It’s a short drive to a Co-op and centre of Poole making it a great base to explore Dorset."

"We got a very warm welcome and the hotel is characterful. All the staff were helpful. The food was very good and the breakfast was very enjoyable with quality ingredients. The only thing we didn’t like was that we booked two rooms, one being a twin and of a higher standard than the double. We were offered two of the same lower grade rooms. We were eventually given the second better room which was lovely, but if it hadn’t been available we would have been paying a premium for the lower standard room. Apparently it was something to do with having booked through Expedia??? The amount she had on the system showed that we had paid less than we actually had. I could prove this as I had the email confirmations. an explanation would be welcome ."

"Amazing setting on Ower Bay, beautiful outdoor space. House itself is comfortable, has all amenities needed, and is cozy and clean but in a way you would expect in an older English cottage (low ceilings in some rooms, a few cracks in the paint on window frames etc). Emma was very responsive and helpful."
