"11 of us stayed at Villa Faidra for a long weekend. The villa is beautiful and as listed. The set up is perfect for chilling by the pool, having big bbqs and relaxing. It is about a 20 - 30 minute drive to Chania town depending on traffic. For a 4 person taxi that’s about EUR30-40 but some will try and quote much higher so be wary of that when booking.Closer to the booking dates we were put in touch with the owner of the villa, Katerina. "The Villa totally exceeded our expectations ! Stunning set up everything that was needed was available - lots of space for everyone to chill. The beach was a lovely (slightly hilly ) walk in the mornings with a friendly cafe. Small supermarket walkable in the opposite direction with basic supplies covered. We used a taxi from Chania reasonably priced. Would return happily."

"The rooms were spacious, the buffet breakfast delicious and the staff was very friendly. However, our key didn't work. I had to go to the lobby 7 times for this, which was a hassle. Also, in a 5 star resort there should be some things for kids to play with in the pool and more pampering amenities in the room, beside the obligatory shower cap. Also, a free shuttle to Chania would have been a big advantage. "
