Close to airport but not so close you have to deal with flight noise. Lots of great food/bar close enough to walk. Great downtown area that has some homeless people but city is doing great at cleaning up the area.

This part of Tempe is the busiest/most commercial and has the most students, so if you want the "college" experience, this is the right neighborhood.
"Our family stayed here before and after long flights to Alaska and the lateness of arrival times. it was a great place to rest and relax before driving home to southern Arizona.
The staff was helpful, the shuttle to and from the airport was great as was the parking.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and available to answer questions!
