"The hotel is a cute bed and breakfast style place. The rooms were comfy and had a nice historic vibe. The shared kitchen/lobby had all the proper continental breakfast fixings. If you like the charm of B&B's combined with cozy/comfy rooms then this is the place for you!"

"Have stayed at a lot of nice hotels thanks to work travel. This trip was leisure with the family and this hotel is by far the nicest I've ever stayed at. We even canceled a night at another hotel in Denver to extend our stay here. The price was unbelievable, the hotel pool & hot tubes are phenomenal, rooms are incredible. Wish I took advantage of the spa. We also stayed one night at the Ameristar down the street on this trip. It was nice but Monarch is absolutely worth the extra $50 dollars per night over Ameristar. We stayed mid-week so prices were amazing."

"I appreciated the quality and cleanliness of the room. Excellent housekeeping services. Check in was easy and seamless. Mgr and desk worker debated flooring under a chair for 5 min as I waited to ask what time is check out. "

"The house is very clean and perfect for 3 families - lots of room and large dining table. The description of the access road and directions are good but important to pay close attention to. I highly recommend an suv or truck with high clearance for the bumps and rocks in the road. The kitchen was well stocked as were bathrooms with lots of soft towels! My main questions were how to engage the heaters bc it was a cold weekend and I also would have liked to know in advance that the refrigerator ice maker was not available (but ice trays were provided). We saw a moose and hiked the trails. The owners were kind and very communicative! We recommend and hope to stay again. (Also I’d bring my own fan bc it’s super quiet in the area but I’m not used to that!) "

Off-grid Masterpiece Cabin W/ Breathtaking View

Off grid living with modern amenities

"Photos of the view from the cabin do not capture the true beauty of the in-person view! The location of this place is perfect! Very private and quiet. We saw eagles circling the sky, moose in the pastures, and deer in the backyard. We aren't avid outdoors people (the wifi worked great, the place was heated, the water was treated and hot, and we cooked our own meals, so we had no reason to venture out), but the views of the snowcapped mountains tempted us so we made our way over to St Mary's Glacier. We were ill prepared for the hike and didn't make it far, but the view was breathtaking! The entire stay was excellent; off grid living with modern amenities. Travel tip: the last 1.6 miles of road up to the cabin is unpaved and the driveway is very steep and rocky. There was no snow or rain during our stay but we felt much better knowing we chose a 4x4 vehicle for the drive."
