"Very pleasant check in and the room was spacious and very clean. The view of the lake was amazing and the chairs on the balcony were very comfortable so great to sit and enjoy it. Good kitchen area and fridge with milk was a nice touch. Easy 20 min walk into town. Would definitely book again. Thank you."

"Great location, clean room, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again - I wish we had motels like this in the states!"

"That pool was amazing..."

"It was so nice hotel"

"Highly recommended."

"My son and I booked accomodation. We got there and it was a bed and a couch. My son in 6'4" and left the double bed to me and slept on the short couch. We were looking forward to using the pool in the room. "Sails on the Lake is a comfortable lakeside motel about 1.3km from the centre of town and by the popular Taharepa Reserve beach. We stayed in a one bed suite. "Good location, good price, nice simple room"

"Room was clean. Easy check in process. Bed was comfy. Great location"

"Aircon was noisy. the shower gel, shampoo & conditioner dispensers did not work"

"We found the staff very welcoming and helpful. The location is fantastic, not too many units and a very family friendly feeling. The building is well maintained and has a warm pool and just right hot tub! Nice seating areas outside, each unit has a balcony or deck, bbqs to use, and I appreciated the washer and dryer ($2 a load). Really enjoyed our stay"

"Spacious property and well equipped. Nice heated pool and convenient access to the lake. A few technical problems such as air conditioning in the main room not working, lights not working in one bedroom and the bathroom fan in the ensuite staying on all night."

"Really helpful and accommodating staff. I was going to be late for check-in but staff waited and even upgraded my room. Really good as I had an exhausting day. Thank you. Beautiful and comfortable room and bed. Super clean!"
