"The surroundings"

"The room was clean, had everything we needed , beds were comfy very comfy , had all the amenities including air con and running hot water which catered to me and my family of 4. Very quiet and you even get views of Lake Taupo from the room . For the price we paid we got more than we bargained for 👏. Props to the house keepers whom work hard day in day out to get these rooms looking the way they do for guests. Only downside is when you’re going to the pools be mindful it’s A steep walk down and...

"The staff were friendly and accommodating. The venue is a little dated but clean and the breakfast was generous."

"We were upgraded to an excellent room in the millennium hotel next door, which is a top hotel. We have no issue with this hotel, it is excellent as are its facilities. The review I have given is for the Oasis room we were originally allocated, ie thread bare carpet and ripped curtains, room was in poor overall condition. Thanks for the upgrade, it allowed us to have a good couple of nights in the beautiful Taupo region. It is sad for us to see the deterioration of the Oasis motel, we stayed...

"Great stay. Will be back."

"Great resort for a family holiday. My kids loved it and we were happy that they were happy. One tiny thing was that the windows all opened out to the roadways so curtains needed to be drawn for privacy. Would have been nice if they were tinted. But wasn’t a biggie. We would definitely stay again."

"I really like how clean it was and the beds were comfortable and had everything we needed"

"Everything is very Good Excellent customer service and the room is very neat and tidy"

"Good basic cheap accommodation"

"We stayed three nights, it was a perfect location and the room was clean and worked well for us. The only thing I would point out was that the pool cues in the games room had no ends on them and the pool balls were not all there, my kids and I enjoy playing on a pool table so were disappointed that we were unable to play. Other than that I recommend Ika Nui and will stay there again."

"Had a great stay at the Quality Inn Taupo. Room was nice, breakfast was delicious, staff were great and hotel was in great location. Would definitely stay again."

"Lovely situation on Lake Taupō. Would have liked a bow of the Lake and Mountains"

"If you can afford to stay somewhere else, please go elsewhere. I think the last time any money was spent on the place was somewhere back in the 60's. I had a room where the window was rusted part way open and could be closed, the carpets are threadbare and the bathroom sink had a tap that just flopped about and was fixed into the bowl. I'm actually surprised the health inspectors haven't been in to shut it down or issued a repair/improvement notice at least. The fridge did work and the...

"Property is kept very clean. Shared kitchen was very clean but showers had mildew/mold on the ceilings. Walls are very thin and you can hear plumbing from rooms next to you"
