"It's so hard to find family owned hotels, especially in Massachusetts and the South. The non-corporates need to rent rooms weekly to folks who are hurting pretty badly. I always enjoyed these stays, even though we some wondered if we were putting ourselves in harm's way. Usually, it's been the exact opposite.
