"We had a great stay at Tango Mar. The owner always greeted us each day to see how we were or how our day was. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! I took advantage of the spa and had an incredible massage. Gorgeous views of the ocean right out your window and the multiple pools to cool off in with the heat. Swimming beaches were a short drive away if you wanted to swim in the ocean."

"Beautiful rooms and area. Lovely and quiet. One note to mention, the beach across the road is not the crystal blue waters as the sand is dark. It’s also a busy area for fishing so we didn’t swim. There’s some nice restaurants within walking distance and a great grocery store. "

"The property is beautiful, Tomas is incredibly helpful and passionate, comfy bed, nice pools, yummy breakfast (bread/ jellies, coffee/tea, juice, fresh fruits, eggs) & close to beaches and Bioluminescent tour in secluded area so plenty of nature to enjoy. The entrance sidewalk is steep so wear hiking/tennis shoes not sandals/ heels, Tomas did offer to help us bring our bags up which was nice but just be aware it may not be accessible for everybody. "Beautiful resort! Among the most beautiful places we’ve stayed in. The beach front room"

"It's a hostel not a hotel, and it's the worst hospitality experience I've ever had. The owner does not respect the guests."

"The property was very nice and the staff was cordial. We loved the pool."

"Playa Los Vivos - wow. Such a special experience. The staff were incredible, especially William. They arranged everything and made sure we had an awesome time."

"Room was OK, but too expensive. Better options are available."

"The staff we’re amazing Ana was so helpful. The food was delicious. We loved bed the pool and cocktails."

"Iedereen was heel behulpzaam en aardig. Accomodatie was goed verzorgd. De waterval is op loopafstand! Kortom een aanrader. Gr. Bert en Luz."

"Stayed in the Estrella room, it was beyond beautiful. Long scenic walk to the room, kitchenette, and filtered water in the full sized fridge. Staff was very kind and helpful, since the hotel was 6 hours from SJO we had to leave at 4 am and to our surprise there was a staff member there to assist with checkout. There are no key drop-boxes, so I was worried about how we were going to return it. Overall an amazing stay."
