"This is a great beach side hostel. I really enjoyed my stay here. The beds were massive with a lot of space inside your capsule area. And I'm tall so it worked for me. The property was very clean and the bathroom/shower area was really good. The only downside is that you cant cook aside from using the microwave but the restaraunt attached is great and the staff are amazing. We felt really welcomed. "Stayed for a few nights, coming back late at night and leaving early in the mornings. The private room was clean and the shared areas and bathrooms were also clean. I did wish the private room had a lockable door, but lockers are provided for free. The hostel was nice and quiet at night and I didn't wake to loud noise while sleeping. "I was so pleased with Hostel Mundo! It has the style of a traditional Japanese home, with all the comforts that come along with that. That means snug rooms with sleeping cushions on tatami mat floors, a warm home-like environment in the common quarters, and a welcoming staff that is knowledgeable about the surrounding area of Kyoto. "This place was so clean! Beds were comfortable but the pillows weren’t unfortunately, that’s the only bad thing about comfort. I felt it was in a good location, quiet and not far to the trains. The lady that checked us in was so lovely & gave us lots of information of the local area & the best places to view the cherry blossoms that were blooming, I wish I Knew her name ! "I stayed at Suzuki Guesthouse for three nights while visiting Kyoto. The staff is kind and help you as much as possible for any demand! There are a few nearby activities that will liven up your experience, and it's easy to get anywhere in Kyoto from Suzuki Guesthouse. Beds are very comfortable. Living room is welcoming. "The Lund House is a small simplistic hostel in a nice and quiet part of town. It is still easily accessible, however, with the closest bus being line 17 or 206 (Summer 2018). The Lund House is very small and compact, but as long as you have pleasant roommates the place feels like a wonderful home. I would gladly stay here again. And at their listed price you can't beat it!"
