"Pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Staff are exceedingly helpful and respectful. The room, a family apartment, was beautiful and situated in a gorgeous, quiet part of Kyoto. There are several amazing coffee shops and restaurants nearby including French, an Italian coffee shop, a gyoza cooking experience (highly recommended!!), and the best teppenyaki spot. It was always very easy to get a taxi or hop on a bike or go for a walk. It’s located so close to Nijo Castle. Fantastic location, upscale neighborhood. Would absolutely stay here again. "

"The building and rooms were beautiful with a location that was within walking distance of so many amazing sites. It’s closely located to both the train and bus line. "

"This is a beautiful large hotel in the middle of a residential neighborhood and easily walkable to the Imperial Palace gate. We also walked to the train station which was a bit further than we expected but totally doable even with luggage. The breakfast buffet was great, lots of options and staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were larger than expected. We found that everywhere we went in Japan beds were much harder than we are used to in the US and this hotel was no exception. Everything was very clean and well maintained and we would definitely stay here again."
