Peaceful mountain farmhouse, close to Shenandoah NP, wineries and more
10/10 Excellent
"What a beautiful home! It was so well-stocked, so cozy, so many extra touches that made us feel right at home. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you would need and more from cooking equipment to coffee tools to many, many different spices and other pantry essentials. The fresh eggs in the fridge was much appreciated. We loved the record player and the nice variety of records. It was so fun to play records each morning and evening. This house is perfect for the dog lover. Our pup was right at home. She enjoyed the doggy treats and the comfy bed. If you enjoy antiquing and wineries, there are many for both options surrounding the home. The house is also relatively close to one of the national park entrances. Julie was a great host and replied promptly when I had to contact her our first night. We would definitely stay here again! "
"This is a lovely cabin in the woods with modern amenities. The screened porch is awesome. The kitchen is well stocked. This cabin is the perfect place to unwind after a day at Shenandoah National Park. We will definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area. Highly recommend!"
Relax at 3100 feet and enjoy the peace and tranquility
10/10 Excellent
"What a view! We enjoyed our stay at 3100 feet. It was worth the ride on the unpaved path to the top! We had a comfortable and peaceful time, staying very comfortably at the top of the world. Hosts are lovely and friendly. Had car trouble, and the nearby car repair helped us while we waited. Loved our place! Thank you!"
Pete's Place: Forest retreat near wineries, Blue Ridge School, and Shenandoah NP
10/10 Excellent
"We took our 18 yr old here on a trip of Virginia and NC. This house was perfectly located for the hikes and tubing activities we wanted to do. Skyline drive was cool even though it was foggy and drizzling on and off all day. Into Charlottesville one day for tubing on Rivanna river. So glad we have the washer and dryer. Super clean and had extra things like kleenex, coffe and shampoo. Really felt like home. "
"This was a perfect place to stay for a wedding at the Blueridge school. The location was great and the property was beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay! There is a cat that hung out right outside the door and tried to dart in any chance it got which did get annoying , aside from that everything else was great ! "
"Positively wonderful stay with excellent proximity to Shenandoah NP, wine country, and Charlottesville destinations - Sarah and Reimer were lovely hosts! Highly recommended!"
Hawks Nest · Mountain Top Cabin w/ Amazing Views, Coffee, Games

Cozy Treehouse in charming Stanardsville with WiFi, Heating/AC, Hot Tub!
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean and private. Amenities are up to date and stylish. Host are polite and easy to contact. They respond promptly. You will need a 4W drive, as they suggest. Very unique and peaceful. They provide cookware, towels, kitchen appliances and even coffee. The hot top is clean and maintaned. Love the hamock style swing. Fire wood and all needs to start the fire in the fire pit provided. Made it simple. It was a little more expensive then we normally would spend. But it was our 25th anniversary so we paid it to stay somewhere different. No tv. Only thing I wish it had. We are use to watching tv as we fall asleep. But we just used youtube on our phone to watch marathons as we fell asleep. Wifi is great. We had great cell reception, calls and text. Ruckersville offers resturants and that was excellent. Cant complain about steps, youre in a tree house! Lol But I sure made sure I carried belongings to and from vehicle at one time. Parking area was a little difficult to manuver truck in, but doable. Nothing to keep anyone from staying there for sure. It was a great experience and very welcoming!"
"House was great and had everything we needed. Highly recommend. Large and private, but not quite secluded. Can see other houses. Mountain driveway is not to be underestimated. 4WD required and need tall clearance under car. It is 1-car wide and challenged when you meet another car coming the other way. Close enough to both Shenandoah for outdoor activities and C’ville for city attractions. Cleanliness great! Communication easy and prompt. "
