THE HOTEL WAS IN A BRILLIANT LOCATION,ALL ASPECTS OF THE HOTEL WERE EXCELLENT,THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL AND COUTEOUS AT ALL TIMES AND DID EVERYTHING THAT WOULD MAKE OUR STAY MEMORABLE,YHANKS TO ALL CONCERNED.

Quiet and comfortable rooms, the two person lift was a bit limiting. Spacious parkland with lots of hanging baskets (the vertical "Petunium" was spectacular) and a novel planting scheme in the borders. The food was well cooked and mostly spicy choices and the service was friendly & good in the Stable block.

Convenient location for our visit to the Beamish museum, the staff are very friendly, the stables restaurant is a beautiful restoration and the food and breakfast excellent, the room was a little smaller than we are used to but ok, there was endless hot water for bathing :-) we would stay here when visiting Beamish again.

Four sisters together to celebrate a special birthday. Fabulous from start to finish. The staff and hotel itself are superb, can’t fault anything. We’ll definitely be back.

Historical building in lovely grounds gives the hotel a definite charm. Access to rooms can mean navigating through a labyrinth of stairs and corridors given the historical nature of the hotel though. Stables bar and restaurant very pleasant. All Staff were great and really friendly- always what we’re looking for as it can make or break the stay!
