"If you are looking for a spot that has character this, is it, it was a cozy old place above a pub. We went in the off season, so we had the place to ourselves. "Parking extremely limited - but the road outside is quiet and looks safe enough. Breakfast has gone downhill - zero choice on the pastries (but the one offered nice enough) and the hot water for the tea wasn't (hot). Considering the price it can't really be complained about too much, but this is functional not luxury - maybe the neighbouring (also uni owned) Halifax Hall might be better for not too much more?"

Taken from Ashopton Viaduct on the A57 Snake Pass Road, nice views back towards Fairholmes Visitor Centre from which we set off on a circular 5.5 mile walk. This is just about halfway now and still a nice day, with views in all directions. Nice!
