"The staff made out stay exceptional. I will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn again. I was really impressed with the cleanliness, the friendly service and especially Sara at the front check in counter. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and has a wealth of knowledge for visitors to the capital."

"Room was very clean. There was an air fresher type smell in the lobby we didn't like, but other than that, all staff were friendly and helpful at check-in and check-out. Continental breakfast was Costco type muffins, apples, bananas, yoghurt, bagels, english muffins, coffee, tea, juice. Shower had full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash.Kitchenette had pots, pans, dishes, apartment size fridge, microwave, small stove and even a small dishwasher. Dish soaps and tea towels provided. A great feature if staying for several nights. Bed was very comfortable. Very convenient to walk around downtown Ottawa and explore the sights. We'd book here again."

"When I booked on line I specified a room with 2 beds. On check in I asked and it was confirmed - a room with 2 beds and a pull out couch. On entering the room it was one bed and a terrible pull out sofa. discussions with management were met with poor reponse - this was the expedia room and we can't do anything. For the 4 days we stayed the room was not cleaned ever. We asked about this at Customer Service 3 times and were told "Oh Yes - we clean every day". It was never cleaned. We had to go to the front desk to request toilet paper, soap and towels. The attitude at Front Desk was Meh - oh well. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone which is sad because the location is fine."

"Location! Location! Location! Its not a super premium property, but newly built and well maintained for a comfortable stay. Lots of parking lots & restaurants around property, and ottawa mall"

"Stayed for a night, was a little hesitant due to the bad reviews. However, everything was perfect. Rooms were clean, modernized and spacious. Our room had a whole kitchen with everything you would need including a full size fridge. We stopped by early to see if we could park the vehicle on the available onsite parking and we were informed our room was ready and we could check in about 3 hours earlier than expected. Close to everything, including grocery store, restaurants, and tourist attractions. Would definitely stay again! Downside: Underground parking is limited"

"I booked a room (for 6 nights) with a view to the park, but was surprised after l checked in arround 6 pm, they put me in a back room in facing maintenance area. I want back to the reception and they changed my room facing the park (as per my booking). But the surprise was the windows and the view was blocked be cause they were making maintenance of the facade of the building. It was late and I was tired and has no choice at the time but to acceptfor the night. What added insult to injury l was awakened at 8 in the morning by the noise of workers and drilling on the exact level on the walls next to my room (831). The odd thing is, not all rooms facing the park were covered and under maintenance/ construction. The next day I complained to the receptionist and they apologized as the don't have any availability and they promised to change the room but never did. I had stay the full period with this inconvenience.. as they have took the full amount of my stay once I checked in.. and was not refundable. One of the worst experiences I've ever encountered."
