"Buffet breakfasts were great. Rooms were clean. Our rooms were in a construction area of the resort. A few staff were happy and cheerful but many seemed down and intolerant of guests (we experienced a few staff members snatch menus from us after we ordered and expressing attitude towards us for just ordering drinks (without food) for afternoon tea). "The AC eventually cooled the room. The room was clean and the facilities were like an older 3- star hotel in the USA. We did not have breakfast and coffee is only available for breakfast patrons before 10am. There is only instant coffee in room. There were no washcloths which I should have expected. This is not somewhere I would want to spend more than a day but if you need a hotel after a super late night flight - it is perfect!!! "

"I was impressed with the Maitai Express. Coming to Tahiti I had stayed in a different airport hotel and was extremely disappointed. I changed my reservations on my return to Tahiti but wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful. Staff was amazing, cheery & helpful.
