Unfortunately, our experience at The Beach House was quite disappointing. The staff were not very helpful or welcoming, and the food was quite average.
The room was also very dark and unfortunately had cobwebs, which made it feel like it had not been properly cleaned or maintained.
Overall, we expected a much better experience and were disappointed with the quality of the service, food, and room. Hopefully, these issues can be addressed for future guests
The dorms were great value for money with continental breakfast included. Staff are the best at the bar. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy, serviced regularly. Look forward to staying again
The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the outside shower in our bure was FABULOUS! Menus provided a good selection and staff were so kind; they always remembered our names. If you want an active day, best plan on organizing your own activities. If all you want is to have is a lazy swim or go snorkeling, read a good book and have a nap, the is the place for you. Super chill, super relaxed. We didn't have our own transportation but were able to get to various destinations via the local bus, mini bus, taxi, and, of course, the express bus. Be prepared to be calm and flexible with waiting for your bus; sometimes they're full and you have to wait for the next one that, surprisingly, shows up quite quickly.
It took a day or two to warm up to The Beachouse. I was expecting more of a resort-feel but instead it felt like an upmarket backpackers. The breakfast supplied was very basic..cornflakes and weetbix, bananas, toast and spreads but you could buy a cooked breakfast. But it was very clean, and the food changed for evening meals and was very nice, especially the curries. The hammocks and beach are lovely and it was a place we really relaxed into, probably because it was quite basic. Rooms were small but completely fine and loved the outdoor feel to the bathrooms. I'd go back, because it offers a chance to reset and relax with few distractions. Staff were lovely and while you got the impression they were a bit tired of tourists, underneath if you stopped being a typical tourist they opened up to you.
The room is great for travellers on a budget. Large bathroom. You need to bring your own towel. Many activities to choose from. Staff are very accommodating and it’s a beautiful peaceful resort. Hammocks to read and relax. The water is beautiful and you can bare foot walk down the beach and back. Horse riding on the beach and surfing was the highlight. Food is fresh and flavoursome. Good portion sizes and good bang for your buck
Stayed a week in the Frangipani rooms. Rooms were basic but sufficient for our needs. Outdoor shower was welcome and there was always hot water. The rooms weren't cleaned although we never requested this. Food served at lunch consisted mainly of burgers and wraps and these were tasty. There were usually 4/5 dinner options from daal soup to fish and steak dishes and these were enjoyed by the group. The free breakfast is simple consisting of cereal, bread and jam. Cooked breakfast is available as an extra. The Base Fiji tours were excellent. We took part in the kayak tour which was great with the rock pool swim under the waterfall the highlight. Amenities include free use of kayaks. Snorkelling gear is available to hire. Staff are very friendly and are always happy to help. There are also several local tours run by staff including visiting a local farm and a 2/3 hour hike to a rockering pool where you could go for a swim and I enjoyed it. The Beachouse caters for all types of toursts from single travellers to couples and those with young families. We ended up playing cards most evenings and you can also play pool or table tennis. There was a live band on Saturday evening who were good snd played for around 3 hours. Weather was great for the first 5 days. However. It rained for 48hrs straight which meant that excursions were cancelled but this meant that people made more effort to get to know one another.
Loved it! Superb little beach resort with a relaxed atmosphere, heaps of activities, and fabulous service. Our room was much more luxurious than we expected - a lovely stay.
Rooms are decent & nice! Food is average, nothing amazing but nothing bad either. Staff are great. However in our room we had no power nearly our entire stay - we did have AC & fan power which was good….but we were unable to charge our devices in our room & also no power in the bathroom which are all outdoors so we had to have showers and toilet trips in the dark.. we talked to the staff multiple times about the issue and it was fixed once and stayed on for about 3 hours and then never again. we kept telling the staff and they did come once more and it worked for 20 minutes. They didn’t offer any sort of compensation nor did they mention they were having power issues prior to our stay. We were told by other guests that it had been happening for weeks so it would’ve been nice to havw atleast known about it before arriving. Literally everything else about the stay was superb, amazing beach, rooms, decent food but the lack of power really did ruin it for us.

Lovely staff and relaxed down to earth place to be
I couldn't recommend this place enough - from the moment I arrived I was welcomed and made to feel like family. All the staff were incredible, including the receptionists, bar staff, cooks, masseuses & activities team. Particular shout out to Atu, Talei & Vetu!!! As a solo traveler, I couldn't be more thankful for how I was made to feel - I already can't wait to return and see everyone again.
Besides the staff, the facilities themselves were incredible - the dorm rooms were clean & comfortable, with a really cool outdoor shower that felt really luxurious. The beach was also gorgeous, as was the pool & bar area.
It was really easy to get to and from Nadi Airport using the local public buses - they drop you off and pick you up directly from outside the resort.
Activities & excursions provided were really wonderful, affordable and led by incredibly friendly & knowledgeable staff. I did the jungle hike & island snorkeling trips. The massages on offer were also really wonderful and affordable.
Finally, food & drink offered at the resort was all of a high quality and affordable.
All in all, I couldn't fault this place, in fact one of the best I've ever stayed at.
Thank you to everyone at The Beachouse!!!
This place was one of four places we stayed that we’d return to. We loved the vibe. We loved meeting peeps of all ages from around the world. We loved the grounds full of Kulu birds, the ocean views and how they knew what we wanted for breakfast. We loved the massages, the Kava ceremony and smell of flowers everywhere. We loved the fresh yellowfin tuna that we fished for and ate in 6 different ways. We loved the Yanuca island snorkeling trip! Vivid blue, pink, yellow and green corals. The beach was nice for a dip at high tide and we loved the pool in the rain. But mostly we loved the Fijian people who work there and the many adventures we shared from BASE FIJI on site at the Beach House.
Vinaka vakalevu for another fabulous stay at our favourite get away on the Coral Coast. Loved the sunset, the hammocks, the live music and the activities at, on and in the crystal clear water. We’ll be back! Sotatale!
This resort is relaxing with a beautiful beach, hammocks a plenty, beautiful staff, wonderful massages by women who own that part of the resort themselves. Truly an amazing place.
Beautiful, budget friendly accomodation right on the beachfront. The staff are lovely (especially Rosa), the food is great and the property attracts amazing travellers from all around the world.
I would love to visit again.

Great facilities accommodations and food choices. Friendly atmosphere. Worth the money
The check-in was simple. The rooms were clean and the hotels amenities were nice. They’re offerings from surfing trips to snorkeling and equipment rental all made the process easy.
The one thing I was disappointed in, was that even though we didn’t require daily housekeeping, when I did put the sign out for Cleaning…for a few days even… housekeeping never entered.
We had an absolutely amazing family stay at the beach house. Slight miscommunication with our rooms but the staff dealt with it professionally and ensured we were comfortable had what we needed. The kids loved the kayaks, snorkelling, table tennis and horse riding. We will definitely be back! Beautiful place, wonderful staff!
