"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the hotel and the room was very nice compared to other hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast buffet had a variety of food that I feel even the pickiest eaters could find something delicious. The biggest disappointment for us was the lack of a pool. According to the listing they had one and my kids were really looking forward to it. Honestly, that amenity is usually a big sell for my kids when we travel that we usually look for listings with this amenity. Unfortunately, when we got there, we found out the pool had been permanently closed. I don't think that it was the fault of those working, but the listing definitely needs changed as I consider this to be false advertising."

"Poorly trained staff who fail to provide duty of care and provide accommodations to loyal elite members. Issue originated through expedia; however, staff failed to provide a reasonable late-night resolution. Level of member support fell short of Marriott’s standard of service, and staff on site represented Marriott poorly. Tone was condescending and unhelpful. I had to physically relocate to another Marriott property at 3 am, which created more than an inconvenience, it created stress and safety concerns as a woman traveling in a major city. Staff could care less about members, and also witnessed the same staff member speaking to another guest condescendingly."

"Front desk tried to charge me an extra $50 to check in early. When I laughed and turned to give the porter my baggage to hold for me, he said ok how about $40 just for you! I couldn’t believe this. You’re extorting me for money to check in early. I told him I would rather roam the streets like a hobo than pay him this ridiculous “fee”. On my reservation I requested a fan for my room. None arrived. I didn’t pursue it any further bc it was only a one night stay. Finally, one of the bar staff was extremely rude to customers. Hard to explain what exactly happened in this review but let’s say I have stayed at this hotel numerous times when I’ve come to Philly and I’ve never encountered this kind of “attitude” from their bar staff before. "
