Truckee Donner Lodge

"We had a nice stay in this lodge. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. There were both hot and cold breakfast options although not a lot of variety. One of us has food allergies, so the smaller variety made eating a little trickier. We loved the water bottle refill station and fireplace in the lobby. Only complaint was the bed was a little hard for us."

"We found the spot last minute due to rain making camping difficult. They were very helpful and accommodating for our late check in. Much less expensive than staying in Nevada City while still being an easy 10 min drive back to town to explore downtown Nevada City and get dinner. In the morning we had a good/filling buffet style breakfast before getting back on the road to explore the country roads and swimming holes. Will be recommending to friends as an easy alternative to camping when exploring the Tahoe National Forest and Yuba River areas."

"The cabin was great. No issues at check in or during our stay. Only things noticed were lots of dog hair on the rug in the living room, the back double doors wouldn't lock, the door upstairs leading to the balcony and down to the driveway wouldn't lock, and the windows occasionally came off their closing-mechanism so you had to close them by hand. Otherwise, it was a nice cabin for the price. Would definitely stay here again."
