"We had a great stay! We were welcomed warmly when we arrived and received the same treatment from all staff we encountered. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also good. We will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn in Petersburg again."

"This was a very quick stay, only 2 nights. Here are my general notes: Pros! - Great cost - Clean room (this is really important to me!) - Helpful front desk staff - Pretty okay breakfast - Fridge AND microwave in room Cons! - The rooms and property need an upgrade. The lobby and breakfast area are very nice, but the rooms, elevator, and hallway are all pretty dated. - Not very sound proof. "Bar was nice and classic look and I got to enjoy some sunday football games. the rooms was nice and spacious. Also I love that they hotel kept the history of the build and most of it architecture. The only downside is that you have to use the valet? Parking there's no public parking."

The room I stayed in the toilet was not stable to the floor and the handle was broken. When I went to tell the manager his response was there isn’t a maid around to fix it. I said you need a maintenance worker to fix the toilet not a maid. He then said there is no one available to come fix the toilet and if I came back by 11...

"Rooms were clean but needs a bit of mtce in painting and the main door needs some foam sealing as daylight could be see so air was coming into the room"

"The front didn’t lock and the lights didn’t work in the room. There was trash and electric lines all over the place and the door that keeps people from the outside coming in, was broken and held open with a broom."

"First room smelled like smoke at a smoke free property, second room the curtains were dirty, the toilet made a very loud noise when flushed, stains on the bed skirts the breakfasts wasn’t good, coffee had coffee grounds all in it. Now they charge $10 for parking. This property used to be good. The front desk staff was great!"

"It was cool, I liked it"
