"Free breakfast was nothing to write home about. Pancake machine didn't cook them properly. Scrambled eggs seemed like they were from powered eggs. Bacon was over cooked. The coffee was good and freshly made per cup. I booked my room through Expedia. When I checked out, the clerk would not give me a receipt or tell me what the total was on my bill. "Worst experience the staff was not there for service"

"Love it, just perfect"

"Best price in town, discounts the longer you stay. Centered in a good location in town."

"I like the American Inn however after building heat went out, then power went out, and I saw a mouse in my room, I am going to try a different hotel on my next trip in Elko."

"Place was rundown, minimal staff"
