"This was the second time that we have stayed in this lovely old pub and our experience was just as good as on our first visit.
The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent and the service from Matt and his team is as good as you’ll find any pub in the UK.
The village of Plush is charming but very small and rather remote so don’t any night life!"

Having the hotel facilities like the bar, restaurant and breakfast on hand, you still have the option of a fully functional kitchen, lounge to relax and watch TV (World Cup Rugby in our case) and a private terrace to sit out on. "It is a true gem of a hotel. Beautiful buildings, both old and new, and a magical garden. Two residents lounges plus a library with pool/snooker table. Reception were efficient and friendly, and the room exceeded our expectations, with wonderful attention to details. I am not a breakfast lover, but there was plenty of xhoice, and frankly the best hotel breakfast I have ever sampled. The situation of the hotel made it easy to walk to the old castle, and Sherborne itself is picturesque and full of history. A wonderful break for us both, and Bruce the dog."
