It was our second stay and Winyards and again it was amazing. Everything you could possibly need is in the room, and the pub and food offered are fab. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's a great dog friendly stay!

Fabulous stay!

Had a lovely stay!! Room was beautiful- spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated. Managed to get the room before having to leave for a wedding at 1pm (thank you very much for doing this for us!!), was a great location for a wedding at Mapperton House, and then using Craig’s taxis to taxi there and back. Breakfast the next day was reasonably priced & tasty, eaten in the lovely dining area. Also fabulous views over the countryside! Would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to the area/attending a wedding at Mapperton House!

Our trip was great, they were super dog friendly and the attention to details was fabulous. At check out the member of staff remembered what we had said at breakfast the prior day and the little touches were fabulous

The Winyard’s Gap is in a beautiful setting. The rooms are perfect, clean, fresh and comfortable. Staff very friendly and give an excellent service. Food in restaurant is excellent. Will definitely visit again whether it be to eat or stay.

Solo female traveller - felt very safe, welcome and relaxed. Very comfortable bed and modern, clean room/ensuite, newly refurbished and has everything to make a stay very pleasant. Great pub with rooms!

Great little place to stay. The modern rooms are separate to the pub and clean, comfortable and quiet! Great breakfast and a superb view over the hills if eating outside. They were very dog friendly in both the pub and the room.

Relaxing Holiday

We found everyone at the Inn very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent the only grumble was because I am not very tall, I had problems geting in and out of a very deep bath. The food was very good. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay was ok. The room was spacious and the welcome was pleasant. However, we were disappointed to see and hear a fight break out in the car park and when we woke in the morning to get ready for the wedding we were attending, there was no hot water which was extremely frustrating.

Our small family had a really lovely 3 day break at Winyard's Gap Inn. The staff were uniformly welcoming, friendly and quick in their service. The room was nicely decorated, quiet and well appointed. The food (dinners and breakfasts) was great quality and good variety, served in a friendly and comfortable pub. The pub is about a 30 min drive from beautiful Dorset beaches, with lots of local walks across countryside. Highly recommended.

Great room very modern and new,staff seemed as tho they had only taken over the place a little while and not up to speed on dealing with booking residents. Bit of practice and when other rooms are finished then great hotel.

Five stars. More than five stars if it were an option!! The staff at this hotel are absolute legends, especially Lucy and the chef. We aren’t local to the area and stayed at the hotel this past weekend to attend a wedding. We had to ask for an early check in to accommodate us, and sure enough our room was ready as had been promised despite our early arrival. At the point we were getting ready, disaster struck as my partner discovered he had left his suit trousers at home! Without hesitating the team sprung into action: the chef offering his own suit from upstairs, Lucy immediately drove home to collect two suits, one from her partner the other her father, and had somehow returned within ten minutes of this all starting. Thankfully one of the suits fitted — we cannot begin to thank them enough for their help. They truly saved the day! To top it all off, the room was fantastic, and the breakfast amazing. If we ever return to the area, this is the only property we would ever consider staying at!
