"We really enjoyed our stay Santa Maria Hostel. The staff was very helpful and nice and our room was newly renovated and very clean. It's an easy walk to many things and we were able to find parking somewhat close for our rental car. The location can be quite noisy at night, but that didn't bother us. "

"Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The place was very clean. It was great having access to all of the facilities of the park hotel next door. Location was perfect, closer to the “old town” Funchal than most of the hotels, about a 20 min walk to the center, but great area near a lot. "We loved Vila Toca. It was conveniently situated and within walking distance of shops, bus stops (including the airport bus) and the town centre. Our apartment had plenty of character. The balcony on the third floor was large and lovely for al fresco dining and had good Mountain Views. We also made good use of the swimming pool. The manager responded promptly, helpfully and courteously to messages. The lady who cleaned our room was very helpful and friendly. It was excellent value for money....
