"I didn't like the lodging at first, but I grew to appreciate it a lot. Finding parking was easier after I became accustomed to the Madeira driving & parking habits. I was within walking distance to Downtown Funchal and the fancy Oldtown area. I only needed to drive to my Hiking ventures out in the woods, so I didn't have to worry about parking outside of coming back from a hike. Also, the location is conveneient because of your phone dies and you dont know your way back, just follow the interstate signs for the Hospital because the Vila Toca building is only 3-blocks away."

"We went to Madeira, Porto, and Lisbon for our honeymoons and stayed at four different hotels during our visit, and the Savoy Palace was far and away the best hotel we stayed at. The room and view were both incredible and we really enjoyed the rooftop pool area. We’d absolutely stay here again if we come back to Madeira."
