"Our room was amazing, full of character. Bed was super comfy slept very well. The rooms on the first floor for guests were wonderful our favourite being the library. All the staff were lovely. We ate in every night and the food was delicious very good portions. Would highly recommend a stay. "

"Fantastic 2nd honeymoon dinner in the Dungeon!!!! Took a great hike around the property the next day, with a visit to the falcon habitat. The Falcon caretaker was very friendly and knowledgeable. Having never seen a falcon up close, it was a real unexpected treat."

"The Hotel is an apartment hotel, they have a WhatsApp but they communicate via email so it is super inconvenient. I suggest they communicate via WhatsApp it is more efficient. I met the owner, not a very nice and accommodating guy for someone who owns a hotel and works in hospitality. Hotel is located far from the city itself but a bus ride away, overall clean rooms and bathroom, you cannot store your luggage unlike other hotels, if I am back in Edinburgh, I will NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE AGAIN. There are better hotels out there. "

"Absolutely brilliant cottage on beautiful grounds. Very easy to get into the city or drive out into the country. The owners are lovely people and make you feel very much at home. One of the best VRBO locations we're ever stayed at and we will certainly return in the future. "

"Chestnut cottage is a lovely cosy cottage with everything you need. The location on the Arniston Estate means you wake up to peace and quiet and wonderful view from the living room. Staying there was wonderful and despite its rural location is also really convenient for supplies and access to Edinburgh. I could quite easily have never left. Henrietta is a wonderful host and the cottage is a credit to the estate. I will definitely be back!"

"Amazing place, remote and easy to reach Edinburgh. Fireplace in the evening with the glass of wine is magical. Although windy and cold outside it was cosy inside. Host is amazing, great communication."
