This is a quiet and comfortable place, with very friendly staff both at reception and at the restaurant. It is quite convenient if you’re visiting the university. For tourists it is a bit far from all the attractions, but it’s well served by buses.

A very clean and comfortable hotel with helpful staff. About 20 minutes’ walk from the centre. Buses are available but I didn’t feel the need to use them. Secure cycle parking . Handy for Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat.

Aside from the fire alarm going off very early in the morning, our stay was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel was safe and quiet. Just be aware that it is about a 25 minute walk to the Royal Mile and other main tourist places in town.

The hotel was great. Clean with helpful staff. Nice included extras with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. The only problem we had was a fuse or something went in our room causing the lights to go out. Took them a while to fix it and in the meantime, we didn’t get the chance to shower before going out for the evening. My only complaint was that nothing was offered (other than an extra hour for checking out) as compensation for the inconvenience.

Great location for a sunrise walk to Arthur's Seat. The staff were lovely and the room was lovely and clean. The size of the room was a great surprise. I'd highly recommend stopping here :)
