"Very convenient location. The main stretch of Solvang is within walking distance. Parking, neighborhood, and everything else were very nice. We had a room in the back of the unit. The running water sound, perhaps from a nearby fountain in the backyard was a little bit noisy. Otherwise, everything else was great!"

"The King Frederik Inn is my favorite place to stay in Solvang. Karen (at the front desk during my stay) was kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. The Inn provides discounts to local businesses, including the wine they carry onsite - Koehler Wines. The discount allowed me to discover this excellent winery and tasting room! All in all, a great place to stay in a wonderful area that includes unexpected perks! I highly recommend and will be back again!"

"Very nice hotel and excellent location. Happy hour was really nice, and pool was the cleanest and most refreshing I've seen. Lovely! Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was just standard American hotel--lots of mediocre food. Sometimes I wish these hotels would just contract with a local bakery to offer coffee, fruit, and some high quality baked good rather than loads of mediocre food. "

"For a Motel 6 (the first ever, apparently), this one can't be beat! The location is ideal and it's clearly been recently renovated and is quite nice. We were on the ground floor with peek-a-boo ocean view (2nd floor would be ideal), but it was quiet, super comfy bed, really nice shower. No complaints! "

"I liked everything about the property except one small thing water. There wasn't a complimentary water bottle. That usual hotels give. It didn't bother me too much until I went to go check their machines to purchase water and there was no water at all. I had to drive to a store. Luckily not too far to get water bottles. Ask for everything else. The air conditioning worked. The bed was comfortable. The environment was peaceful and everything else was gorgeous. Would definitely recommend people. Only thing would be to bring your own water"
