"Location of the hotel is great! Rooms are small, but when you traveling you don’t need much, do you (the showers are too small if you are bigger person maybe ask if they have a room with bigger shower, we are small so we didn’t mind it). I think so far I had the best hotel bed, I slept like a baby! The staff kept changing every time we left the room, but they were all friendly and helpful."

"We stayed for just a single night at the Politeama a few days ago. Our room was excellent - spacious and modern. The rooftop restaurant offered fabulous views and the food was excellent. Every member of staff we encountered was courteous, friendly and genuinely helpful. Top marks go to the concierge Dorotea - we had a challenging travel situation when our ferry to Panarea was cancelled. She showed exemplary, genuine commitment to identifying the best possible solution for us, and made sure she stayed in touch with us in case we needed any further help along the way. Against the odds, we made it to Panarea the same day, which would not have been possible without Dorotea’s assistance. If Sicily holds a Hotel Concierge of the Year competition, she has to be Numero Uno!"

"Wonderful hotel -- like a palace in a botanical garden! The staff answers your every wish, the food is so delicious and the grounds so beautifully kept that you never want to leave. Views of the sunrise over the water as you eat breakfast are picture postcard. The harbor and flowers, the sound of birds every morning, the elegant decor and original woodwork, all combine in a setting that produces one of the best vacations to Italy I have ever experienced."

"The hotel was pleasant enough. Charming old building, decent room, very nice courtyard for breakfast and dinner. One complaint, we booked a taxi from the airport to the hotel through the hotel. When our flight was delayed and we missed our connection we messaged the hotel well in advance to let them know we would be arriving later in the day. Several hours later we received a message saying we would be charged for 75 euro and they would charge another 75 euro to meet us later that day. It then took multiple calls to eliminate the charge and arrange the revised pickup. The only explanation I can come up with is that they don't check the messages and so can't update the driver. But the fact that they attempted to charge us shows either contempt for their customers or complete ignorance. I would suggest just grabbing a cab at the airport when you arrive. All in all it was okay but would't stay there again."

"Lovely B&B, very clean, great bedroom which was large, quiet and very comfortable beds and pillows and good air con. Bathroom was very clean and modern and had a hair dryer. Room had a fridge and a free bottle of water and wine. You could also top up water bottles from a chilled water dispenser in the breakfast room. There was also a kettle available in the breakfast room and biscuits for you to use at any time of day. Breakfast was great with a big choice: fruit, cereal, croissants etc and choice of coffees.? The B&B also had a great location near Piazza Marina and walkable from the railway station in about 15-20 mins. The reception was manned till about 1pm but the instructions for entering the building etc were sent the day before so there was no problem if you arrive after the reception has closed. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if we return to Palermo."
