"O hotel é num casarão antigo e colonial que realmente dá um charme especial ao hotel. Como ponto negativo a manutenção. A descarga do nosso quarto estava quebrado tinha de abrir a tampa da caixa pra dar descarga. Fica há umas 3/4 quadras do centro. A piscina lembra um cenote, mas é pequena. O custo benefício é bom!"

"Everyone was amazing. I traveled and stayed here solo. Staff were friendly and welcoming. My Spanish is pitiful at best, they were so patient with me and everyone I dealt with spoke English, so when my sad attempts at Spanish inevitably failed it wasn’t a problem at all. After I checked out, as I was leaving to the airport, I had a mechanical issue with my rental car. MaryCarmen was SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. She called the rental car company for me (the first time I called there wasn’t an option for service in English), she connected with them on WhatsApp for me, came with me to the car to help me get a video of the issue to send, let me use HER phone to speak with the agent myself… she truly went above and beyond. I cannot adequately express my gratitude for how much she helped me. If I ever return to Mérida, I will definitely stay here again."

"Pros: Location two blocks away from the central park where there's nightly events, strong AC, excellent ceiling fan, beautiful courtyard, small but useful pool to cool off on hot days, secure off-site parking, bed is set up well with power on both ends of the king sized bed, friendly and helpful staff. Cons: Off-site parking is about 2 blocks away, not the worse thing in the world, just felt a little bit of a inconvenience to have to be escorted to the parking lot. No fridge in the room. Overall, an excellent choice for a hotel, well priced for what you get, lots of food options nearby and close to the central park."

Gran Hotel Panamericana Merida

"The room was clean and organized. Water and soda included with check in. Also free coffee and water downstairs. The room is big, the bathroom is also, breakfast was well worth it with made to order eggs/omelettes. It’s on the outskirts of the center of town but the walking wasn’t terrible. Blow dryer in the room overheats and it turns off for about ten minutes at a time so make sure to wash your hair and have time to dry it. Other than that, everything went well. I’d be back. Didn’t get to use other amenities unfortunately."

Hotel Santa María Mérida

8/10 Good

"There was no fridge in the room or telephone. We had to go downstairs to the reception or call from our cell phone. There was no restaurant as indicated on the internet. Only a small café for breakfast only. The TV did not work well when we finally got someone to come up and get it to work. The location was very convenient: close to restaurants and stores and it was super easy to get an uber. The pool was in the open lobby with not much place to lay around."
