We loved staying at property in the beautiful & vibrant historic district of Merida. Service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm & charming. The room & public areas are comfortable with attractive decor. The location is superb for walking to explore, dining options nearby are abundant & delicious. casa de la made our stay in Merida all the more wonderful during Dia de Muertos! This hotel has very good amenities but a building in a so-so condition. It’s a character hotel that needs to be renovated. The wi-fi is terrible. The bed could have been better. However I could not have asked for a better location. The property should be updated to be fully restored or modernized.

Casa Balam - Another great stay in Merida

We have been staying at Balam for 5 years now when we have come to Merida. Staff are great, rooms and large and comfortable and the location is perfect. We highly recommend Casa Balam.

The staff is lovely, I like the the convenience of Bistrola 57 being on site. I love the antiqueness of the room and the grandness of the center courtyard. It's like staying in someone's home. Any time I come to Mérida, it's my go to hotel.
