Mt Etna adventure: Drove up to Cave Ox in Solicchiata where we tried 4 different wines, fresh pasta and Tiramusu, on to Zafferana for beautiful views and delicious gelato then continued as high as we could where the kids climbed to the top, we didn't quite make it as high after 4 glasses of wine and pasta, the lava sand is not easy to climb up, but fun to slide down!! Such an amazing adventure!!! It's like Hawaii and the moon had a shining baby, named Mt Etna, I could live up here!!!

"Relatively clean aside from dirt on floors and the white stain on the couch. Biggest issues were: * consistent strong sewage smell in main bathroom, bordering on nauseating. * Cheap soaps * pillows were horrible. Like a rock. * bed was angled in middle -- like sleeping in a burrito * no instructions on entering -- building door key did not work well, had to play with it for 10 min to figure out how to make it work. Also took a while to figure out the entryway lights for the building, etc....

"Description never mentioned that apartment had 5 flights (albeit short steps) of stairs without an elevator. It said there were 4 bedrooms and 3 baths; actually, 2 bedrooms on main floor with ONE bathroom, 1 bedroom up another flight of stairs with its own bathroom; it was the only bedroom that had 2 beds (one queen and one twin) so the 2 male friends had to take that one. The so called third bathroom was on the top floor across the kitchen and laundry room, designed to be a maid's bathroom,...

"This is the best apartment I stayed in during my trip to Sicily. Fabio's apartment was in the perfect area for my stay. The view was amazing, the terrace was incredible, the king size bed was really comfortable. As soon as you step out onto the street you are immersed in the vibrancy of the main street of the old town. Fabio was a really nice host, he helped me with lots of tips and information. Thank you!!"

"My stay at the Splendid Hotel in Taormina was absolutely wonderful. The location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to the town center and the cable car that takes you down to the sea. It’s the perfect base to explore everything Taormina has to offer. What truly stood out, though, was how warm and welcoming the atmosphere was from the moment I arrived. The hotel has a charming, relaxing vibe, and the staff made me feel completely at home. A special mention goes to Mohammed at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help. Whether I needed directions, recommendations, or just a friendly conversation, Mohammed was consistently attentive and thoughtful. His hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable. Very nice, great room, but smoky.

"The hotel was great overall. The customer service was good. Our only complaint is that our room smelled like strong cigarettes. It was as if someone was smoking while cleaning. Towels, tissue paper, and pillow cases all as if we were breathing in ashtray. Aside from that, the view was great and the pool nice (minus an adult man that kept spitting in the pool!) The staff was fabulous. The breakfast was amazing and dinner very good. It was nice to get up and away from the tiny Italian streets."

"Absolutely beautiful resort with stunning views of the ocean. The beach was truly breathtaking—crystal clear water made it feel like paradise. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious with plenty of variety. Staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we loved that there were great restaurants just steps away across the street. Highly recommend!"
